Client Background Info

Poki Poki is an Orange County-based, family-owned, poke restaurant with 8 locations across Southern California. Their Californian approach to Poke and commitment to quality makes them stand out in a sea of competitors (pun intended).demographic, streamline its website functionality, and expand access to their proprietary training curriculums. 

Challenges

Poki Poki was in the midst of opening a new franchise and needed to establish a competitive digital presence. To do this they were looking to distinguish themselves through a full rebrand and a viable marketing strategy. The goal was to create a brand reflecting the beach lifestyle of Encinitas, appeal to a younger demographic, and launch a new website capable of increasing online orders.

Solutions

After clearly walking through our strategy, the owners trusted our vision for the restaurant and gave us full creative reign. 

We began with the rebrand. Poki Poki wanted to keep similar colors and refresh the logo. We felt it was vital to capture the beach community of Encinitas and it’s surf culture. 

Wanting to tap into surfer nostalgia we dove deep into historical references and color palettes from the 60’s and 70’s surf culture for inspiration.

 

Web Design

For the new website it was important to prioritize simplicity and mobile accessibility. Ease of use navigating the multi-step menu increases conversion of online delivery. The website utilizes the new branding colors and bowl photos to give it an updated feel and whet the appetite of hungry customers.

Content Creation / SOCIAL MEDIA STRATEGY & MANAGEMENT

With this new branding we developed a comprehensive social media strategy focusing on brand awareness and driving engagement to grow followers.

Content consisted of a lifestyle and menu photoshoot and a branded video highlighting the made-to-order freshness of their food.

Through an array of bowls, we were able to capture and highlight the fresh ingredients.

Lifestyle beach photographs show how the bowls are a healthy and active part of surf culture. This was balanced with modern candid lifestyle beach photos showing Encintas’ new gen z surfers.
