Project Background Info:
DJ, MC, artist and yoga practitioner looking to bring peace, love, and health to previously overlooked demographics of the yoga community.
Challenges:
Upon returning from teaching in Thailand, Teal observed a stark lack of diversity in the yoga community. Also, there were few places incorporating music. There didn’t seem to be a space to accommodate her vision of music and yoga for BIPOC. Seeing an opportunity she created “Serenity and Soundwaves” and we assisted in securing Broadstone Maker’s Quarter as a space to practice.

Results:
We knew if people saw her in action in the place she secured it would attract her audience. She’s surrounded by the exact vibe she wished to curate: lit nag champa swirling in the air, Erykah Badu vinyl records spinning, braids popping, all in a warm upscale environment. The design work we created was heavily influenced by her DJ roots and made to look like a dusty record cover announcing this unique class for San Diego.
